The final meeting of the INTEGER project was held in Barcelona!

On the 5th and 6th of November, AFEdemy participated in the final meeting of the INTEGER project in Barcelona!
INTEGER is the abbreviation for Interconnecting 4 Helix Innovation Ecosystems in European Regions.
Since its start in February 2023, the project aims to foster collaboration among individuals and institutions from the quadruple helix in regional innovation ecosystems. Among other things, a European network as well as a community working platform have been developed. The initiative responds to the critical need for stronger connections between regions and actors to maximise the potential of EU innovations. In this framework, AFEdemy worked on refining a connecting role within innovation ecosystems, the Collaber.
For the final meeting, all European partners came together at the office of i2Cat in Barcelona to discuss the last project steps. In this way, the first day was mainly spent discussing the achievements and open tasks in the different work packages. Within the discussions, AFEdemy presented the 13 developed Video Pills, as well as the Collaber Training Day that was held in April – Both resources can be found on the INTEGER YouTube channel, or on integercollab.eu/resources.
The second day was more practical. The INTEGER members visited the Sant Joan de Déu – Hospital to explore health and innovation research, addressing ongoing mental health challenges. They also toured the Barcelona Supercomputing Center, learning about the groundbreaking Bio4Science Network project on gender and health. At i2CAT, key lessons from the mentorship process were shared. A stakeholders session was organised to reflect on regional and interregional collaborations, discussing ways to continue advancing together. In this framework, the draft of the INTEGER 4H model was presented as one of the project’s main developments, emphasising the importance of communication and co-creation for deeper engagement and stronger collaboration.
The meeting was successful and highlighted the good collaboration between the whole consortium. Before the end of the project in January 2025, the final version of the INTEGER 4H Model will be finalised, so stay tuned!
