AFEdemy has co-organised the EU Week for Sustainable and Inclusive Communities

The concept of SHAFE (smart healthy, age-friendly environments) has been the central theme of the event “EU Week for Sustainable and Inclusive Communities: The Future is SHAFE”.
AFEdemy, together with SHINE2Europe, has successfully organised an intellectual and interpersonal exchange between the participants, including engaging discussions on how to develop inclusive solutions.
Among other interesting topics, inspiring good practices have been presented that show innovative solutions to societal issues. Particularly in housing, many initiatives are at their peak of innovation, tackling the housing issue from different perspectives.
The event showed an interdisciplinary attendance, involving agents from the quadruple helix model: Business, Academia, Industry, and Citizens. The importance of their involvement has been highlighted during the EU Week for Sustainable and Inclusive Communities when co-creating age-friendly environments.
With a broader network and a boost of motivation and energy, AFEdemy will keep working on contributing to societal change!
